Good morning!
Tomorrow is the Lovells Bridge Walk! Here is the information:
Lovells Bridge Walk – Saturday, August 17
10:00 am – Arrive at High School
10:40 am – Load bus and depart
11:30 am – Line up for parade
12:00 pm – Parade starts at gas station
Free lunch for band at Lovells Township Hall following parade
1:15 pm – Depart Lovells
1:45 pm – Arrive at High School
Attire: Uprising shirt, black shorts, and tennis shoes
For all freshmen and any other students that need black marching shoes, please show up at 9:30 so I can measure you for size!

Note: Students that just completed 7th grade or graduated HS, this does not pertain to you. When sending through Skyward, it sends to all students in class.
Next week we have the 4th of July Parade on Thursday. In preparation for this, students will need a nice pair of black shorts and tennis shoes, and we will wear the white Grayling Band t-shirts. All Freshmen will receive this shirt on Wednesday at our practice or on Thursday before the parade. Sophomore-Seniors, if you need a new one, you will need to bring $10. Here is the schedule for the two days
Wednesday, July 3
Practice 9 am-12 pm in the HS Band Room
Bring Instruments, music (America the Beautiful, Fight Song, Louie Louie, Star Spangled Banner), flip folders and lyers
Please dress comfortably for marching outside. Wear tennis shoes, bring water and sunscreen.
Thursday, July 4
9:00 am – Meet at Elementary School (Parking lot by hospital)
10:00 am – Parade Line-up
11:00 am – Parade (Michigan Avenue)
We will stop at Huntington Bank to play the Star Spangled Banner at the Flag Pole, and then continue in the parade.
11:45 am – Dismiss from Elementary School
Tuesday, December 11
Just a reminder that the popcorn fundraiser will be delivered tomorrow. Due to an over-site, all popcorn will be delivered to the High School. H.S. students will receive their orders at the end of the day to take home. 6-8th grade families, if you are able to get the H.S. Band Room at 4 pm, you can pick it up then. I will be there until 4:30 pm. If you are not able to get here, we can have you take it with you following the concert on Thursday.
To get to the H.S. Band Room Door: Enter the parking lot and drive behind the building by the tennis courts. There is a door with a Grayling Viking Bands sign above it. You can enter there.

Holiday Concert - Thursday, December 13
6:00 pm in the High School auditorium
5:00 pm arrival for 6th-8th grade in cafeteria
5:00 pm arrival for high school in band room
Families are asked to bring cookies for our reception to follow the concert in the cafeteria
Monday, April 16
Spring Concert - Wednesday, April 18
6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium
5:00 pm arrival for 6th-8th grade in cafeteria
4:30 pm arrival for high school in band room
High School Band will be taking a group picture prior to the start of the concert

form of communication with band families and to keep you updated on the happenings
of the bands throughout the school year. Some sections of the page are still under construction,
but will be filled with important information for both parents and students. This section will be used
as a one stop shop for all things important and updated regularly.
